I signed up with Stream Energy because a friend was a customer, then the friend started having issues with them but I thought it was just an isolated incident, then another neighbor started having issues with them also! I didn't have a problem except why they charge a nearly $6 monthly customer service fee for being a customer, Whether you call them about an issue or not!? Then it went downhill, they sent a letter stating after an audit of accounts they realized they had mistakenly left off their supplier's fee from my bill, after being a customer for only about 4 months.The amount left off was nearly $150 total for that 4 month period. I tried in vain to explain to customer service and even supervisor/manager that I live on a fixed income and I paid my bill monthly according to what they sent me and not that I didn't use my gas because it is cold outside but I paid the bills they sent so why do I have to pay for a MISTAKE THEY MADE, I was a new customer and knew nothing about a supplier charge so why not waive that and move on, after all they admitted they made the mistake, but to no avail, my complaint fell on deaf ears! They pretty much told me, Sorry, you used the gas and we know we made a mistake but you have to pay for it, no if and or buts! I'm not denying use of my gas, but charging me and not willing to waive the charge after admitting they're at fault! My contract ends in May 2013 and I am one less customer they will have! Oh btw, the independent agents they use will try to get you to become some kind of team member and talk you into signing up others,maybe that's how they do business but it sorta smelled like "pyramid"!
